#iStandwith Humanity

The world is witnessing Covid-19 ravaging lives across India. With sad images emerging from India’s overrun hospitals, reports say that the death toll is greater than what has been reported by any single country since the onset of Covid-19. The country of 1.3 billion is now the global epicenter of the pandemic.

The IAHV Team has been working tirelessly to provide Covid-19 relief in coordination with local authorities to across the country. In the first wave of the pandemic from March 2020 – till March 2021, IAHV’s Covid Relief measures included:

  • To help migrant labours and daily wage earners, IAHV distributed ration kits and meals. Over 80 Million kits/meals were distributed across every State in India.
  • IAHV worked to help the heroes who are on the frontline of this battle against the virus. Government Hospitals are woefully short of items like Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs), masks, gloves and essential safety items that increase the risk for the frontline staff. IAHV provided safety gear and medical equipment worth more than Rs. 20 Cr in Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka and Gujarat.
  • IAHV has also helped set up a 500 bed Covid Care Center (CCC) in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, 1600 bed CCC in Pune and a 300 bed CCC in Bangalore.

For the second wave of the pandemic that hit India from April 2021 onwards, IAHV’s focus has been to provide the essential medical equipment to the government hospitals treating Covid patients.

IAHV is working with the State and District governments across India to identify the requirements. IAHV is raising funds through its partner network, sourcing the medical equipment and distributing it to the local government authorities across India.

Currently, there is a high demand for:

    • Oxygen Concentrators
    • Ventilators
    • Masks, PPE Kits
    • Beds etc. for Covid Care Centers

IAHV through support of its partners has thus far organized:

    • 3000 Oxygen Concentrators
    • 2 Million Masks
    • 100 Ventilators
    • Covid Care Centers being set up in Bhuvaneswar, Hyderabad and Delhi
